  • Marketfare St. Claude vs. Melba Schwegmann – Expert witness report on the demographic changes affecting the opening of a grocery store on St. Claude Ave. after Hurricane Katrina.
  • United States of America v. Mose Jefferson – Public opinion survey for New Orleans metropolitan potential jurors to measure if the conviction of former congressman William Jefferson tainted the perception of potential jurors toward Mose Jefferson before the start of his trial.
  • Public Citizen, Inc. v. Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board – Review and analysis of research conducted to create policies for attorney advertising.
  • State of Louisiana v. Norris Vessel – Conducted a public opinion poll of residents exploring the perceptions of a recidivist child molester receiving a fair trail.
  • Hunt v. Waste Management – focus groups to explore the liability of Waste Management in an accident
  • Carter v. Dixie Landing – liability of insurance company involving a child injured at an amusement park
  • Western Union Building v. James  River Insurance, Fischer’s Inc. and ABC Insurance – Hurricane Katrina commercial property insurance claim
  • Dr. Anna Pou v. Atty. General Charles Foti – Conducted a public opinion poll for the defense attorneys representing Dr. Pou was accused of deliberately injecting critically ill patients with a lethal combination of morphine and another drug in Memorial Medical Center, as the hospital was without power for days after Hurricane Katrina.
  • Craft v. ITCO – cancer case involving a worker at the ITCO yard.  Reviewed depositions of the expert witnesses and prepared witnesses for trial

  • Grefer v. Exxon – cancer and environmental pollution case.  Reviewed depositions of the expert witnesses and prepared witnesses for trial
  • Elijah Williams v. Rural/Metro of Mississippi – Reviewed plaintiff’s depositions in preparation for jury selection for this case which involves a two year old child who suffered hypoxic ischemic injury to the brain.  The case was settled out of court.
  • A.O. Smith v. Perfection – Survey of consumers and litigants in reference to the damage to reputation of a company which produced a product with a defective part.
  • Campbell v. Louisiana – requiring judges in the Criminal Court of New Orleans to select a grand jury foreperson by lot rather than subjectivity
  • Gloria Scott v. American Tobacco Co. et al. – Submitted an analysis on the impact of the relocation of a trial from Civil Court to the Louisiana Superdome.  Conducted focus groups to evaluate the perception of residents toward tobacco companies sponsoring a medical monitoring program for smokers.

  • Ronald Chisom v. Governor Roemer - If the Voting Rights Act applies to judicial elections in the metro New Orleans area?  The U.S. Supreme Court agreed that the Voting Act did apply to judicial election.
